The book covers brief introduction and concepts about the conventional air conditioning and evaporative cooling technologies. It presents the thermodynamic performance and relevant characteristics of direct evaporative cooling system to gain knowledge about the effects of inlet velocity of air, outdoor air temperature, cooling pad thickness and their configurations. It also explains about a developed thermodynamic model by using Logarithmic Mean Temperature Difference (LMTD) approach to predict the performance of the cooling pads. The nano-refrigerant is used in the Vapor Compression Refrigeration System (VCRS), and also in evaporative cooling combined with VCRS, then both the systems are compared. This book also helps in improving the feasibility and applicability of the developed system by decreasing the size of "evaporative cooling combined with vapour compression based air conditioning system". In this book, conventional air conditioner coupled with honeycomb cooling pads for providing better thermal comfort at a minimum operating cost in hot & dry weather is theoretically investigated.

The combination of direct evaporative cooling and indirect evaporative cooling system is called indirect-direct two stage evaporative cooling. In two stage air cooler Effective temperature decreases, COP increases up to 13 which are significantly higher than normal cooler and conventional air conditioner, Refrigeration effect increases, Makeup water recharges time increases for the same configuration has been obtained, Specific humidity increase is significantly lower than that of in case of direct cooling system. Two stage air cooler is energy effective, eco friendly, cost effective cooling system and with some further modification it may be hope as replacement of air conditioner.

Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online.A thermostat is a device for regulating the temperature of a system so that the system''s temperature is maintained near a desired setpoint temperature. The name is derived from the Greek words thermos "hot" and statos "a standing". The thermostat does this by switching heating or cooling devices on or off, or regulating the flow of a heat transfer fluid as needed, to maintain the correct temperature. A thermostat may be a control unit for a heating or cooling system or a component part of a heater or air conditioner. Thermostats can be constructed in many ways and may use a variety of sensors to measure the temperature. The output of the sensor then controls the heating or cooling apparatus.

Now-a-days, global warming and high energy consumption are major concerns for the world. Actually, these two things are dependent on each other. Increasing energy consumption gives rise to global warming. Due to global warming, use of cooling systems increases, which in turn increases energy consumption. In a world with ever increasing demands, we need to utilize energy very efficiently, without compromising on performance and comfort. This project presents an idea to design a new system CoolAC. It uses cooling concepts of both, an air conditioner and a desert cooler. We think forward for optimal utilization of electric energy and providing maximum cooling. Project aims to design an advanced cooling system which uses energy in most efficient manner than ever before and provide maximum cooling accordingly and can be used for domestic and industrial purpose and solve the problem of ever increasing demand of energy.

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! A pneumatic thermostat is a thermostat that controls a heating system via a series of air-filled control tubes. This air handling system responds to the pressure changes in said control tube to activate heating or cooling when required. Air conditioning

Air conditioning is the cooling and dehumidification of indoor air for thermal comfort. In a broader sense, the term can refer to any form of cooling, heating, ventilation, or disinfection that modifies the condition of air. An air conditioner (often referred to as AC or air con.) is an appliance, system, or mechanism designed to stabilise the air temperature and humidity within an area (used for cooling as well as heating depending on the air properties at a given time), typically using a refrigeration cycle but sometimes using evaporation, commonly for comfort cooling in buildings and motor vehicles. The concept of air conditioning is known to have been applied in Ancient Rome, where aqueduct water was circulated through the walls of certain houses to cool them. Similar techniques in medieval Persia involved the use of cisterns and wind towers to cool buildings during the hot season. Modern air conditioning emerged from advances in chemistry during the 19th century, and the first large-scale electrical air conditioning was invented and used in 1902 by Willis Haviland Carrier.
